April 30, 2020: We are delighted to have been awarded a grant from LCR Cares - COVID 19 Community Support Fund to deliver two new support groups via Zoom:
- The first is to support female key carers and frontline workers.
- The second is to offer bereavement support for women who have lost an adult (family member or someone close) due to COVID-19 or during the lockdown
You must register with us to access these group. If you are an existing service user, please email us. If you aren't currently registered with us, please complete either email us or go to our Referrals page and complete the online google form
As a Charity, we rely entirely on external funding and donations to offer you these services. As such, we ask for a minimum donation of £1 per session for every service, to help us to continue running. Thank you for your understanding
Before accessing any of our services we will complete an assessment with you to make sure we can support you and you understand more about what we offer so you can be sure it's what you want. An assessment lasts up to 45 minutes and
We offer a one-to-one counselling service to give you the opportunity to discuss any personal issues in a safe & confidential environment
Journey Through Grief
This 8 week programme is for women experiencing bereavement through the loss of a significant adult (parent, partner, adult child). The group aims to offer emotinoal support and help women find their path through grief and reconnect with themselves.
Transform Your Life
A range of groups and courses to support, empower and inspire women to create the life they want
Supported Women - Mondays 1.30 - 3.30pm
Ongoing emotional support for women struggling with the daily effects and impact of mild to moderate mental health problems such as stress, anxiety, low mood, coping.
Brave Women Tuesdays 9.30am - 12pm
8 week course to help you embrace your life by learning to understand and manage anxiety with positive strategies and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques.
Creative Women - Wednesdays 1.30 - 3.30pm
Weekly arts and crafts group for improved well-being. Research show that people who participate in arts and crafts feel happier, calmer and more energetic. There is evidence to show that being creative can improve brain function, alleviate depression and improve self-esteem
Uplifted Women - Thursdays 9.30am - 12pm
8 week programme to help women cope with the symptoms of depression with long-term positive coping strategies.
Empowered Women - Thursdays 1 - 3.30pm
Ongoing emotional support group for women affected by domestic abuse, current or historic.
Confident Women - Fridays 9.30 - 12.15pm
10 week course to help you build your confidence and self-esteem and learn the skills you need to become more assertive
