The Prime Minister announced the following precautionary measures:

  • Avoid all "non-essential contact" with other people
  • Stop unnecessary travel
  • Work at home if possible
  • Avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other social venues

This is particularly important to anyone over 70, people with underlying health conditions and pregnant women. Entire households should self-isolate for 14 days if someone have a fever or persistent cough.
